The Susan B. Anthony House Seeks Volunteers
Rochester, NY - The Susan B. Anthony House is in need of volunteers to serve as tour guides and museum shop attendants and to work on special projects, administrative tasks and other endeavors.
Training sessions for new volunteers will be from 9-11 a.m. September 6, 13 and 20. Volunteers must attend all training sessions to become certified.
Volunteers at The Susan B. Anthony House share a deep commitment to preserving this national shrine: the legacy, home and belongings of Susan B. Anthony. The woman's rights activist and education reformer lived at 17 Madison Street during the most politically active period of her life.
Volunteers help keep alive Anthony's important story. Volunteers' time commitment could be as little as once or twice a month.
To volunteer, call Volunteer Liaison Sue Gaffney at (585) 235-6124, ext. 19.
The Susan B. Anthony House was Anthony's home during the most politically active period of her life and the site of her famous arrest for voting in 1872. Anthony' story of courage and determination has been told and re-told to visitors for more than 50 years. The Susan B. Anthony House is supported primarily through the contributions of its members.
