Susan B. Anthony House switches to its summer hours
Rochester, NY - The Susan B. Anthony House will switch to its summer hours the day after Memorial Day.
Beginning Tuesday, May 27, 2003, the House will be open for tours from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesdays through Sundays. The extended hours run through Labor Day.
A National Historic Landmark, guided tours run about one hour. The last tour begins at 4 p.m. Admission is $6 for adults, $5 for seniors and $3 for students and children 12 and younger.
The House is at 17 Madison St. in Rochester, off West Main Street and a few blocks west of the Inner Loop. For more information, call (585) 235-6124.
The Susan B. Anthony House was Anthony's home during the most politically active period of her life and the site of her famous arrest for voting in 1872. Anthony' story of courage and determination has been told and re-told to visitors for more than 50 years. The Susan B. Anthony House is supported primarily through the contributions of its members.
