Susan B. Anthony House golf scramble registration begins
Rochester, NY - Registration is underway for the Susan B. Anthony House's 6th Annual Golf Scramble, which will be held on Thursday, June 19, 2003 at Victor Hills Golf Course.
News 8 Now Chief Meteorologist Scott Hetsko will join us for the daylong event as our celebrity golfer. Hetsko and "Susan B. Anthony," portrayed by Barbara Blaisdell, will kick off the start of the scramble.
Registration is $85 a person and includes breakfast, lunch and dinner; drinks; prizes; and 18 holes of golf. Registration forms are available at www.susanbanthonyhouse.org or by calling (585) 279-7490, ext. 12.
Registration starts at 8:30 a.m. June 19; the scramble begins at 10 a.m. The golf scramble is one of the biggest fund-raisers for The Susan B. Anthony House.
The Susan B. Anthony House was Anthony's home during the most politically active period of her life and the site of her famous arrest for voting in 1872. Anthony' story of courage and determination has been told and re-told to visitors for more than 50 years. The Susan B. Anthony House is supported primarily through the contributions of its members.
