SUSAN B. ANTHONY, AMERICAN HERO
Highlights of Susan B. Anthony's life, including influences upon her, the many reforms she worked for (suffrage, abolition, temperance, education, and a purse of her own among them), her friendship with Frederick Douglass, and her trial after voting illegally in 1872.(Opened July 2006)

Achieving greatness in her senior years, Susan B. Anthony's life is a source of inspiration for those wishing to feel empowered throughout their lives. Enjoy a tour, share your stories of inspiration over a delicious lunch, visit the statue of Susan B. Anthony and Frederick Douglass having tea in the park, and view the many architectural styles in this beautiful 19th century neighborhood.

In this highly successful, hands-on program for grades 4 through 8, students use Susan B. Anthony and the 19th century women’s rights movement to explore different methods of reform.
